241 – Letters

I want to write letters that might not ever get read
I said that as I poured my soul into a paper bowl
The words and the pictures they mean something
Who knows what kind of adventure they’ll bring
Sentences scare worse than the roar of a lion or bear
Sometimes it’s the truth we take turns at fearing
Because what comes next is the bit with the feeling
The part where we just say what we’re thinking
Then is when the alphabet stops making sense
When emotions don’t listen to voices just sounds
And letters that aren’t sent always hang around
