219 – Punctuating My Day With You

You are right on the line like a comma
Hovering right there to break up the
Long lines of listless sentences I say
You are the quotes on the churning
Conversations I take part in on any day
I like to question, exclaim and mark all
Ways in which I may be a disappointing
Paragraph, but I hear your loud laugh
So I know you don’t think so. but me
I’m a catastrophe, I’m a story with a
Couple of endings, some beginnings all
Mixed with a few of my favourite things
You’re a full stop, like a cherry, right on top.
