175 – Timely

We say time doesn’t matter but it does
It changes things and people, we look
At time every day, in every way, in how
We judge the measure of a day, a week
A month, an expiry date, a mere minute
One life, from within it time sculpts us
Changes us from who we were into who
We were supposed to spend time being
It’s time that is the all-governing thing
It is one master bearing the one ring
Time keeps you alone walking home
To the place and people all of your own
Time is what took you away too though
To an age you thought you’d never know
