132 – From Afar

See, I have noticed you breezing right on through like a
Dark horse on a silent night in perfectly silhouetting light

So I get a little bit nervous and don’t look in your direction
I try to avoid the things that bring out red in my complexion

You often make it difficult though to pretend I do not care when
I detest noticing the feel of a room when you’re no longer there

Your spent shadow on the wall plays a tune so few can listen to
Deliberately it selects each note while we take pleasure in the view

There is no logic in it but there should be no cause for concern
Flames are only dangerous when one is close enough to burn
