110 – While I Sleep

Goodnight starlight, my eyes are closed
Now’s the time to safely sneak away
When I next wake I’ll be distracted
By the day, and the things it brings
But before long I’ll notice you’re gone
And while the process starts, to mourn
The hours and minutes before dawn
You’re right back up in the sky as if you
Never went, and I never had to ask why
