98 – To A Mum Who Stayed

Who never ever went away
Whose heart never strayed
Who made a mistake or two
But always tried to remain
She was the light at the end
Of tunnels so dark that they
Nearly caved in completely
And so what she isn’t perfect
No mother without fault
Would be worth exchanging
For the one that I have got
Someone who often cares silently
When I am hurt she is
The only one that I want
