60 – Season Swap

If the question is
Where did Spring go
The easy answer is
I took it hostage
Safety pinned it to
The end of Summer
With no ransom note
In place of Autumn
And now it’s warmer
Than it should be
For this time of year
But that’s what you get
When you bite off more
Than you can chew
Karma gets you
Leaves aren’t falling
Off the trees yet
Winter should be coming
But all we have is this heat
If it’s Spring you want
Come and claim it
We’ll be waiting
For any kind of relief

(This was inspired by a tweet I read this morning by a British guy who’s not impressed that Spring hasn’t arrived and that it’s still pretty bloody miserable wherever he is.)

The weather today went something like this. (Photo not by me.)
The weather today went something like this: Cloudless sky, 30 degree heat, sunburn, water restrictions, drought. (Photo not by me.)
