17 – Having A Laugh With You

For as far as our lives can see
There is no other you and me
The odometer keeps clicking
Through the scenic kilometres
Mad dreams have come to life
Before our eyes, in the confines
Of this life, in this machine
Going wherever we want to go
We know we’ll always have this
Place, in this time, on these days
It’s our way for the time being
Nothing’s better than the taste
Of having a laugh with you
The dry-mouthed, crying-coated eyes
We’re dying, today, and every minute
I’m glad to be sharing time with you
