4 – Love Collects Dust

It takes you by surprise,
It chides at you
For taking so long to notice,
It cries
Over lies
And letting it pass you by,
It lays dormant
Under a volcano of secrets,
Love collects dust
Because the time
Was never right,
And once in a while, there’s a smile
That catches your, breath
It’s not the same
But it reminds you of the time
You saw love’s face,
It goes away
But at least you can say
You know what it is
How it feels
And why it didn’t stay
